Windows Server 2025 Standard for 5 Users is a modern operating system from Microsoft, designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It provides a solid foundation for IT infrastructure, offering flexible licensing and features tailored to the needs of modern organizations.
The latest generation with hotpatching, SMB over QUIC and Azure Arc — a package for 5 users
Windows Server 2025 Standard is the latest Microsoft server operating system, featuring breakthrough innovations: hotpatching (updates without restarting the server), SMB over QUIC (secure file access without VPN), enhanced Azure Arc and Credential Guard enabled by default. This package includes a Standard server license with 5 User CAL licenses — ready for instant deployment for a small team.
The newest server platform with hotpatching — security updates without scheduled downtime. Ideal for companies that require uninterrupted operations.
Secure access to network shares over the internet without VPN. Remote employees connect directly to the file server — faster and more conveniently.
The deepest Azure integration — Arc, Update Management, Defender for Cloud. Manage on-premises servers from one Azure dashboard.
Credential Guard enabled by default, TLS 1.3, Secured-Core and enhanced Windows Defender. Next-generation protection without additional configuration.
A breakthrough feature: install security updates without restarting the server. Zero downtime for critical services — no more planned maintenance windows for patching.
Secure access to network shares over the internet without the need for VPN. End-to-end encryption on port 443 — transparent for users and easy to configure.
Deeper Azure integration: automatic updates through Azure Update Management, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor and Azure Defender for Cloud.
Protection of domain credentials against theft (pass-the-hash, pass-the-ticket) is enabled by default. No configuration required — it works from first launch.
Virtualization with GPU Partitioning support — share a graphics card between virtual machines. 2 VMs included with the Standard license. Ideal for VDI and graphics-intensive applications.
NVMe over Fabrics, improved ReFS, faster deduplication and compression. Better storage performance with modern NVMe hardware.
32K page size for the AD database, improved LDAP, new password policies and better replication diagnostics. The most advanced version of Active Directory.
Even smaller container images, improved Kubernetes support, native Windows and Linux containers. Faster deployment and scaling of microservices.
Windows Server 2025 is the newest and longest-supported generation of Microsoft server operating systems. Hotpatching removes the need to restart the server during security updates — a major advantage for companies that cannot afford downtime.
The package with 5 User CAL licenses is a cost-effective starting point — you pay for the server and access for 5 users in one purchase. You can buy additional CALs as your team grows.
Licensier provides instant delivery of your activation key and full technical support for installation, configuration and activation. We also assist with Azure Arc, SMB over QUIC and hotpatching configuration.

Server 2025 adds: hotpatching (updates without restart), SMB over QUIC in the Standard edition, Credential Guard enabled by default, GPU Partitioning in Hyper-V, 32K page size for AD and enhanced Azure Arc. Server 2022 is cheaper, more mature and supported until 2031. If hotpatching and SMB over QUIC are essential for you, Server 2025 is the obvious choice. If you want a proven platform at a lower price, Server 2022 still performs exceptionally well.
You will receive the server key + 5 User CAL keys within minutes
Hotpatching allows you to install security updates without restarting the server. The system patches running processes in memory — zero downtime, zero planned interruptions. It requires Azure Arc for update management.
SMB over QUIC allows users to connect to network shares over the internet without VPN. It runs on port 443, encrypts all traffic and does not require special configuration on client computers. Ideal for remote work.
The package includes 5 User CALs — each of the 5 users can be assigned access to the server. If you need more, you can buy additional CALs separately or choose the 100 Users package.
Key innovations: hotpatching, SMB over QUIC (in Standard!), Credential Guard enabled by default, GPU Partitioning in Hyper-V, 32K page size for AD, enhanced DFS and deeper Azure Arc integration. This is the most important upgrade since Server 2019.
Microsoft extended support should last until approximately 2035 (5 years of mainstream support + 5 years of extended support from the October 2024 release date).
Yes, hotpatching requires Azure Arc for update management. You need an Azure account (free or paid) and the server registered in Azure Arc. Azure Arc itself is free.
The Standard license allows for 2 Windows Server virtual machines. For more VMs, choose Datacenter (unlimited) or buy additional Standard licenses.
Yes, this is a one-time payment for a perpetual server license + 5 CAL licenses. No monthly subscriptions — the system works without time limits.
